Macrobins for Sale

We have 4 macrobins for sale – the standard kind, for picking and transport (capacity 800-900 pounds), can also be used as small batch fermenters.  These are solid – no vent slats in the sides.  They have the attachments on the bottom so they can be used with folklifts.
10 years old but perfectly good – these are pretty indestructible as you know.  Our process has changed so we just don’t use them for picking any more.
$250 each (new they are approx $500 each including delivery).  Yes, will deal if it’s for all four..
I can deliver within reasonable range of Charlottesville/Madison

Vineyard Equipment

Complete set of vineyard equipment! I have sold the vineyard and the new owner wanted to do his own thing so I have a great collection of equipment for sale. Since I cannot show photos here, if you are interested, I can send them directly.

2007 LANDINI 55 hp turbo diesel cab tractor. Has BOTH front & rear PTO. Motor is Yanmar and tractor has been no trouble. Much better than prior Kubota 4200 cab. You would really want to roll-over to roll the Landini; 5 ft wide setting and huge fat commercial tires. You can go in the vineyard right after 5 inches of rain and not leave an imprint! Comes with sprayer, hedger and leaf remover. I routinely mow , spray and hedge at the same time. Also huge vineyard rake for pruning removal, as well as a mole drainer plow. Never have wet vine roots again! Also forks, bucket and a 4 ton trailer! All or none please.

$22,500. We are one mile from Chateau Morrisette/Floyd VA

Seeking Employment

Seeking Production or Promotions Position in a Winery

My name is Darren Bowker and I am currently looking for work in the Virginia Wine industry. Ideally, I would like to find a job either in production or promotions at a winery in or near the Charlottesville, but am not locked into that area.

I have been in the wine industry for 15+ years. I have worked in both the Willamette Valley in Oregon and in the Finger Lakes Region in New York. My primary skills are in production, but I have 7+ years experience in retail sales and promotion, with a little experience in wholesale as well.

I have been the head winemaker at the last two wineries I worked at, as well as the retail sales manager at the last winery I was employed with. I am willing to take a position that can utilize my skills in a capacity that may not be at these levels, in order to get an opportunity to help a small artisan winery get it’s name out there.

If you have any interest, please e-mail me at darrenb74@hotmail and I can send my resume for you to look over. Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.
