  Assistant Wine Maker – Come work in southwest Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains at Chateau Morrisette, one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious wineries in the state.

  Full time position with benefits. Assists Winemaker, supervises and performs all winery operations, including harvest, cellar and barrel work, bottling and laboratory. Works closely with Winemaker to ensure quality control, sanitation, safety standards and accurate record keeping. Also assists with staff hiring, training and evaluations. Requires some evening and weekend hours, especially during harvest.

  Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Enology, Winemaking, Viticulture, Chemistry or Biological Science or equivalent work experience. A minimum of four years of wine production or directly related work history, including managing and supervising a staff. Well developed computer skills especially Excel. Forklift ability (training offered) and mechanical aptitude required.
